Here are just samples of some of the questions that could be asked during the Dreyfoos Interview. Please note that these are just some possible questions. The judges can ask you anything they want, so it’s best to simply be prepared for educated answers. All these questions should be answered in complete sentences. No one-word answers. There are really no wrong answers. Just be proud of your answers whatever it is. This is the time you have to “sell” yourself!! Tell them as much information as possible about you during any given question. I’ve tried to provide sample answers below to give you an idea of what I mean by telling me as much information about yourself as possible.

Why do you want to come to Dreyfoos? (Sample answer: Well, I began singing at a very young age in my church choir and really loved it, then I started taking piano lessons at the age of 5 and joined my elementary chorus as soon as they would allow me to join. I knew singing was going to be a part of my life forever, which is why I joined my middle school chorus as well and I’ve had to opportunity to perform all over the country with my chorus. I participated in All-State choir both in 7th and 8th grade. I would love to come to Dreyfoos and be surrounded by like minded people that share my love of music.
